I Passed!

Today, I had to do something I have not done in over ten years. Take a driving theory test. About an hour before I took the test I found out I needed to study a whole section in the text book I didn't think I needed to. Despite the last minute cram session, I passed with flying colors. 100 percent of test questions were answered correctly! For those you you who were praying for smooth sailing, thank you. One more step down in this process towards permanent residency completed. My car passed a warrant of fitness today too. So watch roads here comes a Texan!

Tonight Josh and I joined the greater Cole clan for a meal with Donna Jordan, who is a long time YWAMer. It was pretty cool to hang out with someone who has such a deep experience with God. Never short of a good laugh at the Cole household!

White Water Rafting

On Saturday we finally decided to make use of a wedding present that we were given, which was a voucher for whitewater rafting down the kaituna river which has a class 5 waterfall, 21 feet high. We were both so excited about, and had such a blast doing it. It wasn't as scary as I though it would be, in fact I would do it again. Afterwards we met an amazing guy name Lee who took us down the same rapids on what they call a sledge, which is basically body boarding down the waterfalls. It was pretty intense, and we both came home very tired after a long day on the water. Check out the photos!

Our New House!

Here are the promised pictures of our new home. Hopefully we won't have to move for a long time. It's alot of work setting up a home, and I must say we are loving living in Pyes Pa. It is just so close to everything our world revolves around. The House of Prayer is presently only 5 minutes from us, Josh's parents are seven minutes away, and the rest of the House of Prayer community is just about as close. We have no yard, but it is a great house!

Christmas in Summer!

Since most of you reading this blog are from place were Christmas is cold. I thought a visual picture collogue of our Christmas in summer might be the best way to describe our Christmas holiday. It was probally much like yours...lots of family, presents exchange, and lots of food!

An afternoon of wrapping paper sheading!

Granpa Dave and Little Ben...the newest addition!

Josh and his little sister Debs!

Lani (another one of Josh's little sister's) with the Cole family dog, Peaches!

Anna Rikiriki (another one of Josh's sister's) with her family! Arn't the boys adorable!

Also, I promise I will post pictures of our new house after I can take a few shots. Today is the first day in weeks that we are actually seeing some sunshine. I think today is finally going to be the day I can actually stand outside with a camera. Hope you are having a sunny one too!

Back on the Blogging Train!

Today, after almost a month of having to go to Starbucks to do email, our broadband was finally connected. Well sort of...apparently there is still some problem with it, but for now it has been overridden and we have Internet at home. Being able to do email never felt so good!
We have had a great time since falling off the blogging bandwagon. We've settled into our new home, become proud owners of our very own refrigerator, celebrated Christmas/Josh's B-day with the greater Cole clan, had the Impact World Tour office move into our home office, had about 50 BBQ's, learned how to play a game called Settlers of Cantan (which is really fun), entertained a few guests, and were even sepereated from each other for a week.
Last night around 11:30, Josh returned home to Tauranga and me, after being separated. He was out on an island off the coast of New Zealand called Great Barrier Island for a YWAM gathering (it's big enough to find on a map). It was the longest we have been apart since being married, and I sure did miss him. Lisa, Josh's 20 year old sister stayed with me while he was away. She is such a trooper, we don't even have a proper bed yet for our spare room but she stayed anyway and we had some great girl time.
So yeah that's kind of been the last month in a nutshell...I know there is so much to fill you in on, but I also know there is always tomorrow. As soon as it stops raining here in Tauranga I will take some pictures of our new house and post them. So keep an eye out....I'm back on the Blogging Train!
